Maybe I need to get that signwritten on the engine cover with a little arrow directing the reader?

I made the stud for the stack in the end Boz.... I had a 9/16 length of thread, which I threw into the drill press.... I hit a stepped section with the grinder, then dressed it with a file to 6mm, then cut a 6mm thread... Perfect!

But thanks for the offer of help on that one.

And I think I might hold back on the neon Dave.... Thanks for the input though. Wink

Engine is out for the first time in 3 years....

Almost forgot how to do it!!!!

Got to replace the axle gators, pull the PP off the FW and fit the new Stage III KEP PP in there when that arrives... Will change the front seal while I'm here, and pull the cooling fan off and whack in the BERG welded/balanced fan....

Made a start on the new pan today....

Took 6 hours to clean it up, then I rolled it into the shed....

Then I started cuttin on stuff!

Then I cut the framehead for more caster....

Pulled the shift rod, and opened up the front inspection plate... Tomorrow's jobs are to pull the rest of the stuff from inside the tunnel and weld up the pie cut.... Then is onto the torsion housing chop, chop!

Cut! cut! cut!

HAHA! I am SSOOO jealous of your concrete floor Humpty. We had 15mm of rain here today, and I had to wheel the Vmax and the scoot out of the 3" deep puddle that formed in the carport.
By the way, the fact I can now roll the Vmax anywhere is a major milestone. It also makes room for the El Bug to move in.

I got a quote for $400 per cubic metre concrete. Dunno how that compares with Perth prices, but since I have only 1 concrete truck willing to drive here for 4 cu m (from Geraldton to Perth), I guess it's OK? I spose?

I have also thought of compacted metal dust and road base, with pavers, and filled-in little gaps.

Anyway, sorry for the thread-jack! If you get really bored Humpty, I have dubious skills and heaps of enthusiasm up for grabs on short notice........

Where some councils have replaced the 2' x2' concrete slabs with poured concrete footpaths ,you can score the old slabs .Maybe a temporary option for you.
