Very Happy Spot on K, the bus was lowered bout an inch more at the front after this pic was taken, and the Sway Bar removed. The back has gone bout an inch higher, stuck some beefy tires on it. scraping the muffler is a thing of the past. Embarassed

Wheels and front beam on the wish list Smile

thanks for comments!

Steve

They were fitted to the PMG buses to measure out the distance between telegraph poles using th 1/10 of a mile. Well that is the story I've heard and it sounded OK to me.
If you look in some private places this bus might have a bit of red paint here and there.
Maybe it was an Army conscript though with that colour.

It is certainly a super cool bus. That US front bumper is just begging for a water bag to hang off it IMO.

I second the 'water bag' idea.... I have one too... But the thing leaks like a bitch!... Anyone have a line on a good quality one that doesn't drop its load before the next town? Crying or Very sad

I'm going to buy one from Aussie Disposals and see how we go. I'll keep the Eski in the back for insurance. When I drove back from Perth in 2006 it was over 50c in the cabin at times. I used the melted ice to wet a towel and wrapped it round my scone. Evaporative cooling worked for me. I did however look a bit like Osama Bin Lobus, lucky I wasn't cruising across the US.
As for efective water bags, the only tip I was given was they had to be free hanging or else the water runs through wherever it is making contact with the car.
Like when you hold your hand on the inside of a canvas tent when it is raining. Which it nearly always is whenever you put a bloody tent up!
