Not really.

I asked Gary today how he felt working on a kombi, he said doesn't make any difference to him, dealing with the same shit either way Exclamation

I think he likes them Smile

There's the clincher... Most don't like them and most don't know how to do it... That's why most peeps I know go to Hotrod and Kustom shops to get stuff done... Standard P&P shops like insurance work only... You gotta seek out the little guy that likes old shit and understands where your coming from... If he has a good client list and a folio of work to support his efforts, your on the right track....

Here's a call out to everyone in the same boat as Sam... If you find a good shop that can do any kustom or resto work (or any other work for that matter) to a high standard, please ask them if they would like a little free advertising on this forum... All I need is their info and contact guff and I will post it in the tech section listing.

How do y'mean Humpty?

All the stuff to bolt back on the kombi is waiting waiting waiting at my place, gathering dust. There's literally nowt moe i can do without the body here now, if thats what you mean.

Gary is doing the fiddly stuff (alignment and buggering about with hinges etc.)

Yeah its all the trim bits and stuff.... Fitting windows, gauges, locks, door handles and trim... It takes time, but its so cool as it comes together.... Just look at what Simon has been doing with his panelvan over in Sydney... Its awesome to see them coming back together...
