For those of you who are unaware my Matador ran soon after I purchased it.

Over the past 5 or so months I have gone about breaking it. I have the best intentions, restoring it, slowly, but other things get in the way and it has taken some time to get to this stage.

Previously I took the cab off, then pulled the motor and gear box.

Now I'm up to stripping the suspension. So I can sand blast the chassis and paint it.

I picked up a 1951 parts catalogue the other day which has made things a hell of a lot easier.

Hey Craig,
Marry that woman Very Happy What are you waiting for? Now there's a rare breed. My wife has merely succumb to rolling her eyes when I speak "Tempo". However, deep down inside, I know she wants to see this relic on the road... By the way, I mailed off those rear grease caps today. Take care, Ray.

Wow Craig, Your certainly getting on with your Tempo... Seeing yours being pulled apart makes me want to get on with my Tempo.. I won't be starting on my Tempo until I get my 1958 Messerschmitt KR200 3 Wheeler back from the Body / paint shop...

OK, rear suspension almost off. Sadly i'd left my ball joint remover so they are still flapping about on the tie rods.

But that won't take long to sort out.

a couple of brake lines and she'll be stripped.

Heads are back- no cracks or issues, new valves from the US, ex guides and claen up, they look like new now.
Thanks to Harris engines in osbourne park.

Standard 25hp double springs were all tested and in good nic.

Case has been cleaned also but didn't turn out quite as well. Doesn't coat you in 50yrs of oil everytime you touch it any more, but a lot of scale has been left on it, will need a bit of elbow grease and a lot of patience to sort that out.
