It's been a long night, but i got the motor in and reday to go. Stock clutch and new disc. Those girls sure come in handy. The top engine mount bolt is my wifes responsibility!
Got my tune up gear in the glove box Chris, see if I can slow you down a tad!

Well that was a bloody awesome night...

Bernie, Jonno, Adrien, Paul, Chris and Hermann all showed up with their cars... But only Bernie, Paul, Chris and Hermann raced.... All did well'ish... Paul bettered his best with a 14.6 I think... Bernie wasn't happy, but had a good time anyway.... Chris has got some power, but not getting away well... And I reckon his gearing is way short for the drags.... Taller tyres next time Chris!!! But of course you want to know how Hermann went.... He got two runs in before he threw his pulley at Chris, but what runs they were...

How's a 12.45 at 180kmh grab you? Shocked

And he was lazy off the line and only running premium 98!!!!!

Madness!!!! This car has sooooo much more in it!

Pics and video to follow I hope... I have some images and I know Kinga and Boz grabbed some footage, so we will get out asap...

Hope you guys that went to Alfred's had a good one... See ya at the next one!

Was a great night, Chris clocked up 100,000 miles in one night, just with 1/4 mile passes.
C'Mon Humpty, I know the expectation on your new turbo bug is high, but don't slow me down too much. Best pass to date 14.2 at 93mph.
Looks like my last in the black 57.

Top night!
Lots of the V-8 brigade cruised passed by for a chat with all the Beetles parked in a line, said how good they all looked together and it is great the see something different at the track.
And everyone got lots of respect, especiall Chris with his six or so passes; and I loved sitting in the crowd hearing all the comments when Hermans bug passed throught the traps with a "12".
Should have some photos to post soon.
Thanks to all for a fun night.
paul

Herman's motor is basically stock, just a few bolt on bits.

Hi all.

It was a good night. I only hoped for a 13 second pass, as it was the first time with the turbo engine in this car. Cool

I lost the crank pulley on my second run and thought I damaged the pistons or rings with detonation. It turned out that I broke all the bolts holding the flywheel to the crank and did not hurt any thing else (so not too expensive). Very Happy

hope to see some footage and pics on here.

thanx for a great night. will do it again soon.

now to get that race suit and undies.

Hermann.
